Play Style

He is a vertical-and-YAC receiver who plays with constant urgency. Brother Martin gets him the ball in many ways: go routes and posts that use his track speed, screens and quick game to get him in space, and some backfield or return touches that add up to his all-purpose numbers. On film he varies his tempo to set up defensive backs, then accelerates out of breaks. He tracks the deep ball well over either shoulder and doesn't dance after the catch; he gets vertical immediately. He also blocks willingly on the perimeter.

Strengths

• Elite verified speed that shows up in games. A 10.3 100m sprinter who averaged 21.7 yards per catch as a junior (53 catches, 1,151 yards, 17 TDs in the regular season) is winning deep, not just in drills.
• Separation at every level of the route. 247's Gabe Brooks praised his 'mid- and top-of-route separation' and called him one of the most consistent competitors at his camp regardless of position. He changes speeds instead of running every route flat out.
• Dangerous after the catch. He has 2,095 all-purpose yards and 29 total TDs as a junior (5A Offensive MVP, first-team all-state), and he can turn screens and short-to-intermediate throws into big plays.
• Ball skills in traffic. He tracks and finishes contested catches at several depths and has a viral one-handed TD catch. That offsets the fact that he doesn't have a big catch radius.
• Committed blocker ('convicted blocker' per 247) who can line up at several receiver spots, so he doesn't have to be subbed out on run downs.

Areas to Improve

• Beating press coverage from the outside. At 5-11, he will face bigger Power 4 corners who jam at the line. He needs a deeper set of release moves and hand-fighting to stay productive on the boundary instead of being limited to the slot.
• Handling the added weight. If the jump from 185 to 214 is real, he needs to show it hasn't cost him burst or change of direction during his senior season and track spring.
• Consistency at the catch point against contact over the middle. Most of his long catches come from being open. Converting tight-window catches against Power 4 safeties is the next step.

NFL Outlook

He projects as an early-round pick if his college production matches his profile. Receivers under 6 feet with verified 10.3 speed, real route skill and YAC ability (the Jaylen Waddle / Zay Flowers type) are regularly first-round picks. The main questions scouts will ask are whether he can beat press on the outside and how his added weight affects his timed speed at the combine. The floor is a high-end NFL slot receiver and returner.
