Possesses an excellent frame for an EDGE prospect, listed at 6-foot-4 and around 215 pounds. He has long arms and a lean build with plenty of room to add mass in a college strength and conditioning program. His multi-sport background in basketball is evident in his fluid movements, change of direction, and overall body control. While verified combine numbers are unavailable, his on-field explosiveness and acceleration are clear strengths. His ability to chase down ball carriers from the backside demonstrates plus-level football speed.

Play Style

Callaway is a high-energy, disruptive force on the defensive side of the ball. On film, he primarily utilizes a speed rush to get after the quarterback, relying on his explosive get-off to beat offensive tackles around the edge. He displays a natural ability to pursue the football with good angles and has a knack for making plays in the backfield. His film shows him to be a willing and physical tackler who is not afraid of contact. As a tight end, he is a significant downfield threat, using his size and athleticism to create mismatches.

His initial impact will likely be on special teams and as a situational pass rusher while he develops physically and technically. Given his raw talent and athletic upside, he could become a significant disruptive force in the Big Ten by his second or third year in the program. He has already enrolled at Rutgers for the 2026 season.

NFL Outlook

As a four-star prospect with a projectable frame and high-end athletic traits, Callaway possesses the upside to be a future NFL Draft selection. His developmental trajectory in college, particularly his ability to add weight and refine his pass-rushing technique, will ultimately determine his draft stock. If he can maximize his physical potential and develop a more polished all-around game, he has the raw tools to be a mid-to-late round pick with the potential to rise higher.

Best Fit

A program with a strong track record of developing raw, athletic defensive linemen would be an ideal fit. His skills would be best maximized in an aggressive, attacking defensive scheme that allows him to utilize his speed and explosiveness to get upfield and disrupt the passer. A 4-3 defensive end or a 3-4 stand-up outside linebacker would both be suitable roles.
