LEAD STORY: Kentucky Secures First Portal Pickup, Lands Washington PG Zoom Diallo
The Kentucky Wildcats have made a major splash in the transfer portal, securing a commitment from Washington Huskies point guard Zoom Diallo on Wednesday. The move marks the first transfer addition of the 2026 cycle for the Wildcats, addressing a critical need for a lead guard with proven production at the collegiate level.
As a sophomore, the 6-foot-4 Diallo showcased his dynamic playmaking ability, averaging 15.7 PTS, 4.5 AST, and 3.9 REB across 33 games. He demonstrated significant improvement and efficiency, shooting 48.9% from the field. His scoring ability was on full display toward the end of the season, where he tallied 21 or more points in four of his final five contests. His court vision was also evident as he racked up 18 assists over his last two games. Originally a top-50 recruit out of Prolific Prep, Diallo brings at least two years of eligibility to Lexington, providing both an immediate impact and long-term stability at the point guard position.
