LEAD STORY: SEC Volleyball Flexes in Big Ten Showdown
Mississippi State volleyball delivered the statement of the night Friday, taking down the Northwestern Wildcats in four sets to complete a sweep of its Allstate Big 10/SEC Challenge slate. The Bulldogs controlled the match from the start, winning set one 25-18, dominating set three 25-13 and closing it out 25-18 in the fourth.
The victory moved Mississippi State to 4-1 on the season and marked the Bulldogs' second consecutive win over a Big Ten opponent — the kind of early-season nonconference resume-building that pays dividends when postseason seeding conversations begin.
