BUFFALO, N.Y. (03/19/2026) — The Georgia Bulldogs' season came to an abrupt end Thursday as the Saint Louis Billikens unleashed an offensive onslaught, cruising to a 102-77 victory at the KeyBank Center.
Saint Louis was ruthlessly efficient, shooting 58% from the field and controlling the game from the opening tip. Despite a brilliant 30-point performance from guard Jeremiah Wilkinson, the Bulldogs could not match the Billikens' balanced attack and relentless scoring, trailing for the entire 40 minutes.
How It Happened
Saint Louis established its dominance early. Dion Brown scored a layup just 19 seconds into the game, and the Billikens never looked back. Georgia stayed within striking distance for the first ten minutes, with a three-pointer from Wilkinson at the 12:17 mark cutting the deficit to 14-12. A dunk from forward Jake Wilkins, assisted by Marcus Millender, kept the Bulldogs close at 25-18 with 8:02 left in the half.
From there, however, Saint Louis took complete control. The Billikens methodically extended their lead, using sharp ball movement that resulted in 27 total assists. A three-pointer from Trey Green pushed the lead to double digits, and a Brady Dunlap three with 2:47 on the clock made it 42-24.
Wilkinson tried to single-handedly keep Georgia in the game, hitting back-to-back long-range threes to cut the lead to 44-32 with 1:34 remaining in the half. But Saint Louis closed the period with five unanswered points, capped by a driving layup from Dunlap, to take a commanding 49-32 lead into the locker room.
The second half offered no relief for the Bulldogs as the Billikens' offensive clinic continued, turning the game into a rout.
Turning Point
The game was decided by a colossal 23-0 run by Saint Louis that spanned the end of the first half and the start of the second. The run began after Wilkinson’s three-pointer made the score 44-32. From that point, the Billikens closed the first half on a 5-0 run.
They emerged from halftime with even greater intensity, scoring the first 18 points of the second half. The barrage was swift and overwhelming. Dion Brown scored on a driving layup and a dunk in the first minute. The run culminated in a powerful dunk by Quentin Jones with 15:19 remaining, swelling the Saint Louis lead to an insurmountable 67-32.
Justin Bailey finally ended Georgia's scoring drought with a three-pointer at the 14:56 mark, but the damage was done. The Billikens' run had completely broken the game open, extinguishing any hope of a second-half comeback for the Bulldogs.
Star of the Game
In a losing effort, Georgia guard Jeremiah Wilkinson was the game's most outstanding individual performer. He finished with a game-high 30 points, doing everything he could to keep the Bulldogs competitive. Wilkinson was a constant threat from beyond the arc, hitting several deep three-pointers that provided Georgia's only consistent offense. He also added two rebounds and an assist.
For the victorious Billikens, Dion Brown led a balanced scoring effort with 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. Four Saint Louis players scored in double figures, including Amari McCottry (13 PTS, 9 REB), Robbie Avila (12 PTS, 5 REB, 5 AST), and Ishan Sharma (12 PTS).
What It Means
The loss marks a decisive end to the season for the Georgia Bulldogs. The game exposed significant defensive issues, as Saint Louis shot 58% from the floor and outrebounded Georgia 47-36. While Wilkinson provided heroics, the lack of consistent secondary scoring was apparent, underscored by the team's 9 total assists compared to the Billikens' 27.
For Saint Louis, the dominant performance is a powerful statement. Their offensive efficiency, depth, and crisp ball movement proved to be a combination the Bulldogs had no answer for. The Billikens advance confidently, looking like a team capable of making a deep run.
