OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (05/28/2026) — The UCLA Bruins overwhelmed the Arkansas Razorbacks 11-0 on Thursday at OGE Energy Field at Devon Park, riding a five-homer barrage and a scoreless pitching effort from Taylor Tinsley to a commanding run-rule victory.

UCLA never trailed. The Bruins put together a relentless offensive showing, never allowing Arkansas back into the game after a decisive second inning that produced the bulk of the damage.

## How It Happened

UCLA opened the scoring in the top of the second when A. Garcia homered to center to make it 1-0. The Bruins were just getting started. Moments later, Soo-Jin Berry crushed a three-run homer to left, scoring K. Bragg and A. Ramirez to push the lead to 4-0. Megan Grant followed with a three-run blast of her own to left center, plating J. Lamar and R. Slimp to make it 7-0. Kaniya Bragg then doubled to deep right, driving in J. Woolery and B. Alejandre to extend the advantage to 9-0 before the inning was through.

The Bruins added on in the third. A wild pitch from R. Herron allowed Rylee Slimp to score while J. Woolery advanced to third and A. Garcia moved to second, pushing the margin to 10-0.

Jolyna Lamar capped the scoring in the fifth, homering to right to bring the final to 11-0.

## Turning Point

The game was decided in a single frame. UCLA's second inning turned a 1-0 lead into a 9-0 cushion, with back-to-back-to-back power from Berry, Grant and Bragg accounting for eight runs in the span of a few batters. Berry's three-run shot to left broke the game open, Grant's three-run drive to left center stretched it to seven, and Bragg's two-run double to deep right capped the outburst at 9-0. Arkansas turned to multiple arms to stop the bleeding, but the deficit was already insurmountable.

## Star of the Game

Megan Grant set the tone with the bat, finishing 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, a run scored and a walk. Her three-run homer to left center was the signature swing of UCLA's second-inning eruption, turning a tight 4-0 game into a 7-0 rout.

Grant had plenty of company. Soo-Jin Berry matched her with a 1-for-3, three-RBI line on the strength of her three-run homer. Kaniya Bragg drove in two on a double and scored once, while Jolyna Lamar homered, scored twice and added an RBI. Rylee Slimp reached base twice and crossed the plate twice atop the order.

In the circle, Taylor Tinsley was dominant, working 5.0 innings and allowing just three hits and no runs while striking out two. She kept Arkansas off the board entirely, never letting the Razorbacks string together a threat.

## What It Means

The victory underscores the depth and power of a UCLA lineup that produced five home runs and scored in three separate innings. With Tinsley spinning a shutout and the offense delivering from top to bottom, the Bruins demonstrated the kind of two-way performance that travels in postseason play.

For Arkansas, it was a tough afternoon at the plate and in the circle. Tianna Bell, Atalyia Rijo and Kailey Wyckoff each recorded a hit, with Wyckoff also drawing a walk, but the Razorbacks could not solve Tinsley. Arkansas worked through three pitchers — Payton Burnham, Saylor Timmerman and Robyn Herron, the latter striking out six over 3.1 innings — but the early deficit proved too steep to overcome.

UCLA leaves Devon Park having made an emphatic statement, while Arkansas will look to regroup and turn the page after a hard-fought setback.
