FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (11/01/2026) — The Arkansas Razorbacks opened the throttle early and never let up Sunday at Bud Walton Arena, overwhelming the LSU New Orleans Privateers 127-48 behind a balanced attack that featured four players in double figures and 28 assists on 49 percent shooting.

Ayianna Johnson led all scorers with 23 points, Kyiah Prestridge stuffed the stat sheet with a 22-point, 12-rebound, six-assist double-double, and the Razorbacks forced the Privateers into 51 turnovers in a wire-to-wire statement performance.

## How It Happened

The Privateers actually struck first. Tajenae Gooden knocked down an 11-foot jumper off a Jadaya Branch assist at the 9:17 mark of the first quarter for a 2-0 edge, but the response from Arkansas was swift and sustained. Prestridge buried a 25-foot three off a Jianna Morris feed at 7:11 to make it 7-4, and Daniah Trammell followed with a 24-footer from D'Asia Thomas-Harris at 5:16 to push the margin to 14-8.

From there, the Razorbacks' perimeter game took over. Emily Robinson's three at 2:26 stretched the lead to 27-11, and Kateri Poole capped the opening frame with a 25-foot triple off a Prestridge assist with 20 seconds left, sending Arkansas to the second quarter up 34-14 after a Sophia Edwin free throw.

The second quarter brought more of the same. Beautiful Waheed opened it with a three at 9:35, Prestridge added another from 24 feet at 7:28 to make it 43-18, and Poole's second triple of the night at 1:31 ballooned the lead to 59-26. Allannah Orsby's layup at the buzzer sent the Razorbacks into halftime leading 64-28.

Arkansas' ball movement was the story of the night — 28 assists against the Privateers' six, with Morris, Thomas-Harris, Waheed, Whitley Rogers, and Grace McCallop all setting up scores. New Orleans shot just 32 percent from the floor and could never generate the clean possessions needed to mount a run.

## Turning Point

Any realistic doubt evaporated during a 12-0 Arkansas run that bridged halftime. Rogers drilled a 23-foot three off a Morris assist just 13 seconds into the third quarter, and Prestridge punctuated the surge with an unassisted 23-footer at 7:18 that made it 74-28. By the time Rhian Comery went to the line in the final seconds of the third, Arkansas led 98-39, and Waheed's three at 8:34 of the fourth — off a McCallop assist — pushed the Razorbacks past the century mark at 101-41.

The scoring kept coming down the stretch. Morris hit from 25 feet at 1:47 of the fourth to make it 124-45, and Julija Matic's 24-footer with 24 seconds left delivered the final Arkansas points before Edwin's driving layup at 0:07 closed the book at 127-48.

## Star of the Game

Prestridge gets the nod in a crowded field. The guard finished with 22 points, a game-high 12 rebounds, and six assists, hitting threes in each of the first three quarters while also creating for teammates — she assisted on Poole's first-quarter triple and Waheed's second-quarter three. Johnson's game-high 23 points and Trammell's 17 rounded out a Razorbacks attack that simply had too many weapons.

For the Privateers, Comery battled to a team-high 19 points with five rebounds, while Gooden added nine points and four boards. Edwin chipped in seven points, and Destinie Gordon grabbed five rebounds to go with six points.

## What It Means

For Arkansas, the November 1 result checks every early-season box: elite ball movement, a dominant 53-34 rebounding edge, relentless defensive pressure that produced 51 New Orleans turnovers, and production from deep into the rotation — ten different Razorbacks appear in the scoring plays. The 127-point outburst gives Arkansas plenty of positive film as the 2026-27 campaign ramps up.

The Privateers leave Fayetteville with a hard lesson in ball security, but Comery's 19-point effort offers a foundation to build on. Cleaning up the turnovers and generating more assisted baskets — they managed just six on the night — will be the immediate priorities as New Orleans moves forward in its early-season schedule.
