## LEAD STORY: Kentucky Walks Into Norman and Does It Again

No. 15 Kentucky keeps making a habit of winning games it isn't supposed to win. The Wildcats went into Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Saturday evening and beat Oklahoma 21-13, their fourth victory as underdogs this season — and they did it despite being thoroughly outgained. Per Oklahoma's own postgame release, the Sooners held a 346-230 edge in total yards and a 270-158 advantage through the air, yet Kentucky scored 14 fourth-quarter points to flip the game.

The defining sequence came late. Clinging to a 14-13 lead with 2:17 remaining, Kentucky was flagged for defensive pass interference on Hasaan Sykes on a play where Oklahoma wide receiver Manny Choice slipped and pulled Sykes down by the facemask — a call that drew immediate and widespread criticism. It didn't matter. Five plays later, Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer threw a pick-six to Kentucky's Jordan Castell, and the Wildcats closed it out.

For a Kentucky team that has now made upset wins its identity in 2026, the formula held once more: bend defensively, refuse to break, and cash in the game's biggest moment. For Oklahoma, it's a bitter loss in a game the stat sheet says the Sooners controlled — the Wildcats simply made the plays that decided it.

No. 9 Tennessee is also in the mix through 18 holes at the same event, the Volunteers' final tournament of the fall.

- **National note:** Dylan Raiola came off the bench and led Oregon to a fourth-quarter comeback win over his former team, Nebraska, per ESPN. Elsewhere, the Big 12 admitted its officiating crew incorrectly ended Saturday night's BYU–Notre Dame game, saying the Irish should have had one more second for a final play.
