OXFORD, Miss. (11/01/2026) — The Ole Miss Rebels never trailed and never let up Sunday, rolling past the Alcorn State Braves 99-58 at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss in front of 5,570 fans. The Rebels shot 57 percent from the field, piled up 25 assists against just 11 turnovers, and led by at least 20 points for the entire second half in a game that featured zero lead changes and zero ties.

## How It Happened

Roman Siulepa opened the scoring at the free-throw line with 18:13 left in the first half, and Ole Miss ran from there. Patton Pinkins buried a 27-foot three off a Santiago Trouet assist at the 15:12 mark to make it 13-3, and Corey Stephenson's dunk at 11:52 stretched the margin to 20-4 before the game was eight minutes old.

Alcorn State kept firing from deep — the Braves finished 40 percent from three-point range — and got long-range answers from Jahseem Felton, Saxby Sunderland, and Calvin Sirmans III, who connected on three first-half triples, including back-to-back makes from 28 and 24 feet. But Ole Miss had a counter every time. Trouet and Pinkins each knocked down threes to push the lead to 38-18 with 4:05 remaining, and Adam Clark's layup with four seconds on the clock sent the Rebels into the break up 52-31.

The second half opened with more of the same. Pinkins converted at the line, Ilias Kamardine drilled a 24-footer off a Trouet assist, and Christian Brown threw down a dunk from Clark to make it 60-31 before Alcorn State scored its first points of the half on a Jaylin Craine three at the 15:34 mark. Trouet added a pair of dunks — one off another Clark assist — to push the lead to 87-50 with just over six minutes left. Jaron Saulsberry's three-pointer made it 95-52, and Bobby Cannon's late 27-footer and free throw set the final at 99-58.

## Turning Point

This one was effectively decided in the opening eight minutes. The Rebels' 20-4 start — capped by Stephenson's dunk at 11:52 of the first half — forced Alcorn State into catch-up mode for the rest of the afternoon. The Braves never got closer than 14 after that, and the Ole Miss surge out of halftime, which ballooned the lead from 52-31 to 60-31 on buckets by Pinkins, Kamardine, and Brown, removed any lingering doubt.

## Star of the Game

Adam Clark was the engine of the Ole Miss attack, scoring a team-high 17 points while dishing out seven assists — several of them turning directly into dunks for Brown, Stephenson, and Trouet. Trouet filled the box score with 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, while Pinkins added 16 points on a trio of first-half threes. Brown chipped in 12 points and four rebounds as four Rebels reached double figures.

For Alcorn State, Sirmans III was a bright spot with 20 points and six assists, repeatedly stretching the Ole Miss defense from well beyond the arc. Cannon added 14 points, scoring the Braves' final five points of the game.

## What It Means

The numbers tell the story of a thoroughly efficient afternoon for the Ole Miss Rebels: 57 percent shooting, a 38-31 rebounding edge, and a plus-15 margin in the turnover battle, as the Braves gave it away 26 times against the Rebels' pressure. The ball movement stood out most — 25 assists on a night when Ole Miss cracked 99 points suggests an offense with plenty of willing passers and finishers.

For the Alcorn State Braves, the 40 percent three-point shooting and Sirmans III's playmaking offer something to build on, but the 26 turnovers and 37 percent overall field-goal shooting proved too much to overcome against an opponent that converted those mistakes into easy offense. Cleaning up ball security will be the clear priority as the Braves move forward in the 2026 season.
