COLUMBIA, Mo. (11/02/2026) — The Missouri Tigers opened the scoring with a 15-0 run and never looked back Monday night, overwhelming the Cleveland State Vikings 111-50 at Mizzou Arena. Missouri shot 61 percent from the field, drilled 45 percent of its three-point attempts and committed just four turnovers in a wire-to-wire victory that featured zero lead changes and zero ties.

## How It Happened

Missouri set the tone immediately. Bryson Tiller threw down a dunk off a Jason Crowe Jr. feed at the 19:39 mark, Crowe followed with a 26-foot three at 18:48, and Toni Bryant buried back-to-back triples — both assisted by Mark Mitchell Jr. — to push the lead to 15-0 before Cleveland State had scored. Bryant added a third consecutive three at 15:25 to make it 18-2, and the rout was on.

The Vikings found brief life when Jordan Lowery connected from 24 feet off a Gavin Headings assist to cut it to 21-7, but Trent Pierce answered with a three of his own just 15 seconds later. Missouri kept pouring it on from there — Pierce finished an alley-oop dunk from Tiller at 8:41, Crowe threw down a dunk to make it 36-9, and Kennard Davis Jr. and Crowe stretched the lead past 30 with deep threes set up by Mitchell. Jamier Jones capped the half with a dunk and a free throw, sending the Tigers into the locker room up 56-18.

The second half brought no reprieve for Cleveland State. Davis hit threes at 16:49 and 15:44, Crowe kept firing from beyond the arc, and Mitchell got in on the scoring himself with a pair of dunks and a 23-footer. Ogbe Uagboe's three off a Micah Bays assist made it 77-32, and Crowe's 24-footer at the 7:00 mark pushed Missouri past the 90-point threshold. The teams combined for 16 made three-pointers across 84 scoring plays.

## Turning Point

There was never much doubt, but the game was functionally decided in the first four minutes. Missouri's opening 15-0 burst — built on Crowe's deep three and Bryant's barrage of triples from 23 and 24 feet — forced Cleveland State to chase the game before it had settled in. The Vikings shot just 33 percent from the field and 13 percent from three on the night, and against a Missouri offense converting at 61 percent, the early deficit was insurmountable.

Ball security told the same story. Missouri assisted on 23 baskets against only four turnovers, while Cleveland State managed 11 assists against 14 giveaways. The Tigers also controlled the glass, 43-29.

## Star of the Game

Jason Crowe Jr. led all scorers with 23 points, adding three rebounds and two assists. He scored in every way Missouri needed — a 26-footer during the opening run, a dunk in traffic, and a pair of second-half threes from 24 feet that kept the margin growing. Kennard Davis Jr. backed him with 19 points and four rebounds, while Bryant finished with 15 points and six boards after his red-hot start.

Mark Mitchell Jr. deserves mention as the engine of the offense even beyond his own scoring. The play-by-play shows him setting up basket after basket — Bryant's early threes, triples by Pierce, Davis and Crowe, and dunks in the second half — before adding a three-pointer and two dunks of his own.

For Cleveland State, Dre Jones and Rayvon Griffith each scored 13 points, with Jones grabbing a team-high eight rebounds. Griffith opened the second half with a layup, one of the few stretches where the Vikings generated consistent offense.

## What It Means

For Missouri, this is the kind of early-November performance that builds a foundation. The Tigers showcased balanced scoring — four players in double figures — elite ball movement, and depth that kept the production flowing deep into the second half, with Uagboe and Bays contributing to the scoring summary. Shooting 45 percent from three while committing only four turnovers is a formula that travels, and Missouri will look to carry that efficiency into stiffer tests as the 2026-27 campaign unfolds.

Cleveland State leaves Columbia with clear areas to address, starting with perimeter shooting and ball security. The Vikings were outplayed in every phase, but Jones and Griffith gave them a pair of double-digit scorers to build around as they regroup for the remainder of their non-conference slate.
