## Matchup Overview

No. 22 Auburn travels to Sanford Stadium on Thursday, October 15, for a 7:00 p.m. CT kickoff against No. 2 Georgia. The two teams come in with very different needs.

Georgia is 6-0 overall and 4-0 in SEC play. The Bulldogs have the conference's cleanest record so far and their place in the national title race to protect. A home win on a weeknight stage would keep them unbeaten past the midpoint of the season.

Auburn is 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the SEC, so this trip matters a great deal. The Tigers already have two conference losses. A third would make a run toward the top of the SEC standings much harder. A win over the second-ranked team in the country on the road would change their season.

The last meeting was a defensive game. Georgia won 20-10 at Auburn on October 10, 2025, and held the Tigers to a single touchdown. This year both offenses come in with productive players at the top of the stat sheet, and the yardage numbers are very close.

TV coverage is still to be announced.

## Keys to the Game

**Auburn: Get the most out of Byrum Brown and Hudson Kaak**

Auburn's offense runs through two players. Byrum Brown is averaging 210.4 yards per game and Hudson Kaak is adding 162 yards per game. Together they account for 372.4 yards per game. That is more than Georgia's top two producers, Gunner Stockton and Drew Miller, who combine for 356.5. To win at Sanford Stadium, Auburn needs both players to reach their averages. Neither can carry the offense alone against an unbeaten opponent on its home field.

**Auburn: Give Keshaun Singleton a real role**

Keshaun Singleton averages 64.4 yards per game, a useful third option. If he matches or beats that number, Georgia can't focus all its attention on Brown and Kaak.

**Georgia: Let Gunner Stockton set the tone**

Gunner Stockton leads every player in this matchup at 216.3 yards per game. Steady production from him lets Georgia control the pace at home. It also puts pressure on an Auburn team that can't afford to fall behind early.

**Georgia: Drew Miller has to close the gap**

Drew Miller averages 140.2 yards per game, which is 21.8 fewer than Auburn's Hudson Kaak. That is the biggest individual gap in this game, and it favors Auburn. If Miller plays Kaak to a draw, Auburn loses its clearest statistical edge.

## Key Matchups

**Gunner Stockton (216.3 YDS/game) vs. Byrum Brown (210.4 YDS/game)**

The headline matchup is between the two leading yardage producers, who are separated by 5.9 yards per game. Stockton has the small statistical edge and the home crowd. Brown has carried a bigger share of an offense that needs points to keep pace with an unbeaten team. Whichever player pulls further away from his average will probably decide the game.

**Hudson Kaak (162 YDS/game) vs. Drew Miller (140.2 YDS/game)**

This is Auburn's best chance to gain ground. Kaak's 21.8-yard lead per game is the widest margin between counterparts on the two rosters. If Auburn gets Kaak's usual output while Georgia gets Miller's, the Tigers could make up the small difference between Brown and Stockton.

**Keshaun Singleton (64.4 YDS/game) vs. Tyriq Green (64.5 YDS/game)**

The complementary players are separated by one-tenth of a yard per game. Singleton and Green are almost identical secondary options. In a game between closely matched top producers, a big night from either one could be the deciding factor.

**Total production: Auburn's top three vs. Georgia's top three**

Auburn's Brown, Kaak and Singleton combine for 436.8 yards per game. Georgia's Stockton, Miller and Green produce 421.0, so Auburn's top three lead by 15.8 yards per game. Georgia's edge is its 6-0 record and home field, which show how well the Bulldogs have turned their production into wins.

## Players to Watch

**Auburn: Byrum Brown — 210.4 YDS/game**

Brown is Auburn's leading producer and the player the Tigers can least afford to lose in this game. To end Georgia's unbeaten run on the road, Auburn likely needs a performance from Brown that clearly beats his 210.4-yard average.

**Georgia: Gunner Stockton — 216.3 YDS/game**

Stockton is the top yardage producer on either side and the center of an offense that hasn't lost yet. If he reaches his 216.3-yard average in front of the home crowd, Georgia will be in control most of the night.

## Prediction

The numbers are close. Auburn's top three outgain Georgia's by 15.8 yards per game, and almost all of that comes from Hudson Kaak's 21.8-yard edge over Drew Miller. Georgia's Gunner Stockton has a slight lead over Byrum Brown, and Tyriq Green and Keshaun Singleton are statistically even.

What separates the teams is the result column. Georgia is 6-0 with a 4-0 SEC record and plays at Sanford Stadium. Auburn is 3-2 with two conference losses. The Bulldogs also won the last meeting 20-10 on the road. Kaak's edge should keep Auburn competitive into the fourth quarter. Stockton's steady production at home should be enough for Georgia to stay unbeaten.

**Prediction: Georgia 27, Auburn 20**
