## LEAD STORY: Alabama Soccer Wins at No. 21 Oklahoma and Stays Unbeaten in the SEC

No. 7 Alabama soccer passed another road test Sunday afternoon. The Crimson Tide beat No. 21 Oklahoma 3-1 at John Crain Field in Norman, improving to 11-1-0 overall and 4-0-0 in SEC play. The win was Alabama's third over a ranked opponent this season and its second on the road. At the one-third mark of the conference schedule, the Crimson Tide are one of the SEC's top teams.

The win also shows how efficient Alabama has been. According to Oklahoma's postgame release, the Sooners outshot the Crimson Tide. Alabama still controlled the match by scoring late in the first half and again at the start of the second, and those two goals decided it. Scoring right before and right after halftime makes it very hard for an opponent to recover, and Oklahoma never got back into the match.

For Oklahoma, the loss ended an 11-match unbeaten streak. The Sooners, ranked No. 21/18, fall to 9-1-2 overall and 3-1-0 in SEC play. It is their first loss of the season, and it came against one of the best teams in the country. Oklahoma's record still puts the Sooners in contention in the conference race.
